Searching for History
The Sioux Empire Arts Council will be celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2009! Incorporated in 1969 as a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to
advocating for the arts, the Arts Council has made a lot of history in Sioux Falls.
"We believe its time to share with the community our passion for all the arts,"
said Deb Klebanoff, Executive Director of the Sioux Empire Arts
Council. "Because of that, we are going to write a history -- and we are asking those with old clippings, photos, memories, stories, etc.
to help us put that together."
Plans for celebrating in 2009 are just now materializing, but the Arts Council is looking for your input now. If you have information that
would help in writing this history, please contact the Council using the information below.
