American Indian Youth Photovoice Project
April 1 - May 31, 2010
Sponsored by:   Sanford Logo

Photovoice is a research project where historically under-represented people -- steps photo represented by students from Tiospa Zina Tribal School of Sisseton and USD freshman Native students -- represent and benefit their community through their photography. Students learned to use cameras; studied ethical and cultural issues regarding the taking of photos of people and community; received guidance on writing narratives; identified health issues they wished to highlight; and interacted and discussed their photos with the community and the public at large.

Artist Reception: Saturday, April 10, 4:00 to 6:00
